Our staff at Connecticut Pulmonary Specialists are here to assist you in the delivery of the highest quality of care in the field of pulmonary and critical care medicine. It is our commitment to provide our patients with comfort, safety, and the best possible care available.
Please understand that we are a SPECIALTY MEDICAL PRACTICE, and our physicians treat patients at multiple locations and the hospital as well. This means you may experience a LENGTHIER wait than you are accustomed.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call us with a minimum of 24 hours notice in order to give another patient the opportunity to get into the office to see one of our physicians. In the event you need to cancel your appointment, we will be happy to reschedule your appointment.

Patients are seen by appointment only, allowing the patient the opportunity for better care. We appreciate our patients and continually strive to adhere to the appointment schedule; however, emergencies in the hospital do occur which must take precedence, causing some delay. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience it may cause.
New patients need to bring all medications or a list of them, any existing x-rays, CT film, or notify the office staff of any other tests recently performed or recent hospitalizations.
Cancellations
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please give us 24 hours notice so that we may give your appointment to another patient who may need to be seen that day but was unable to get in because the appointment was taken.
Emergencies
If you are ill, please call us to see how we can assist you. If however, you are short of breath, having chest pains, or other symptoms requiring immediate attention, we ask that you go to the nearest emergency room or call 911.
Telephone Calls (9:00 am – 5:00 pm)
If you have a problem or question between appointments, please call us at (203) 786-5067. State the reason for the call to the receptionist in order for her to route the call to the appropriate party. Please remember to leave us a phone number where you may be reached. It is not the policy of Connecticut Pulmonary Specialists, P.C. to treat patients over the telephone. If you are ill, please call us.
Prescriptions
It is not the policy of Connecticut Pulmonary Specialists, P.C. to prescribe new medications over the telephone. Long term medications may be handled over the telephone if you remain under our active care, but only during regular office hours. No routine prescriptions will be filled at night or on weekends. For better care, please try to call as early in the day as possible for your refills. Any calls received after 3:30 pm will not be returned until the next day. Please call at least two days before a holiday to ensure your prescription will be refilled in time. Connecticut Pulmonary Specialists does not typically prescribe controlled substances. If you have a chronic issue requiring controlled pain medications, we will refer you back to your primary care physician or a pain management specialist to prescribe these medications.
Smoking
In the interest of health, our location is a non-smoking environment. There is no area within our office provided for smoking.
